Problem Description

Provide as detailed a problem description as you are able. The more detailed the better. If it's handy please also make note of the computer model, but don't stress if it's not immediately visible. We can usually determine the model from the serial number you provide below.

Serial Number

The serial number is usually on a label affixed to the case, or for Apple products laser-etched onto the case. If you're on a PC running Windows 10, you can use the steps below to locate your serial number.

How to find your serial number on Windows 10/11

Right-Click on the Start button (windows logo in bottom left for Windows 10 or centered for Windows 11)
Select Windows PowerShell from the menu that appears
Once the PowerShell window opens, type the following exactly: wmic bios get serialnumber
- Yes you read that correctly, there’s no space in “serialnumber” in step 3.
Press Enter. You should get back two lines. The word "SerialNumber" and below that the system's serial number as seen in the example below
